Details on our latest Model PB See Newsletter August 2005

La,st year, our 51st year, Ramsey Coote introduced its newest bell, Model PB, to improve the monitoring of progress of treatment. A timer clock, know also as an elapsed timer, measures the time between the bell starting to ring and the child switching the bell to "OFF". This clock shows the time in minutes and seconds. Parents or child recording this time in the treatment record sheet and then reset the clock. Another way of thinking about this is that you have a stop watch recording the time of response.

Another new feature is the lighting of the front panel with "Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs)" in a light strip. This strip gives even illumination of the front panel while increasing the maintenance life of the alarm. That increase is to the life of the battery, which can range from four to nine years. Otherwise Model PB has the same cast bell with higher frequency of 6000 Hertz and an output greater than 90db.

lHigh frequency ringing at louder volume stimulates wakening. Timing quantifies response. Shorter wakening time is wakening with fuller bladders. More definite learning is occurring. Practitioners have better information to interpret the progress of treatment.

Ramsey Coote prices with effect from 1st July 2007. These prices together with daily usage costs are:

Model N: AU$1256.00 (0.70)

Model NB: AU$1406.00 (0.78)

Model PB: AU$1530.00 (0.85)

Model M: AU$1590.00. (0.88)

Pad with Cover: AU$415.00

Usage cost-per-day. is use at 300 days per year for six years. More realistic life is beyond 12 years. This halves the above costs per day. It is to be compared with the cost of washing bed clothes each day.
