Since 1954, Ramsey Coote Alarms have proven to be the effective, minimum cost therapeutic device for treatment of nocturnal enuresis (bed wetting). There are thousands of these alarms in use attesting to their efficacy and cost effectiveness. Our alarms withstand rough handling. Strong rubber protectors take the brunt of rough handling. Model "PB" is our latest design. After producing 2452 new units since 1989, we started making the Model PB in October, 2005. Our alarm consists of three main items in its packaging of box and cover.

Children with Physical Impairment Model ND (D for Dual Use) provides a special switch for children with physical impairment. This switch can be pushed or hit to turn the bell "ON" and "OFF". This bell has another slide switch to choose between children with impairment and with no impairment. By sliding a switch, the Model ND becomes a "standard" Model N so that it can be used with all children. There are two additional items for treating of hearing impaired children: Silent Wakener and Remote Buzzer. The "Silent Wakener" is a vibrating can that goes under the pillow. Instead of the bell ringing, the can vibrates sending this stimulus to the child. To assist the child, the remote buzzer wakes the parent at the same time. This buzzer comes with a 12 metre(40 feet) cord to run from the child's room to the parent's room. Also, practitioners have treated adolescents and adults with the silent wakener where the bell's noise is not acceptable. Typically, the client is in residential care. Another use is treatment of a child with Asperger's Syndrome.
