Lamps: 3 to 4 years.
Bells: alternating current bells with Ramsey Coote Modifications expecting life-of-type durability; direct current bells are now obsolete. Existing bells in the Models D and E may be repairable.
Bed-pads. The repair of bed-pads includes replacing one braid of the sensor.
Most of our large users know about this repair service. After years of service, wear and
tear on the connecting cord may require its replacement. Typical wear
is where the flexible cord connects to the stiffer bed-pad
terminals.
Model E and earlier alarm control units. These units are
fitted with direct
current bells. The European Common Market now requires
alternating current bells under its electro-magnetic radiation rules.
So manufacturers in Europe have discontinued making these direct current
bells. We are working to find an economic way of upgrading these
alarms.
